Color, structure and experimentation – a one-day workshop for beginners and experienced artists

In this workshop, we'll delve into the world of experimental screen printing. After a brief introduction to the techniques and materials, we'll explore how color, form, and texture can interact – far removed from traditional reproduction. Using pre-made screens and self-designed stencils, we'll create individual prints and collages that evolve through spontaneous layering, superimposition, and combinations. The focus is on the creative process: experimenting, discovering, and creating. Whether graphic, abstract, or playful – each piece is unique. The workshop is suitable for beginners and advanced students alike. Materials will be provided; you are welcome to bring your own sketches or ideas.

About the artist:
Johanna Nissen lives and works in Hamburg. She studied art in Kiel and Cologne and has worked as a freelance artist and art teacher since 2008. Her often colorful works combine screen printing, painting, and woodcut and have been shown in numerous exhibitions in Northern Germany. More information at: www.johannanissen.de

Dear Mikaela, it was perfect at your place again. Although this type of collage isn't really my thing, I drove home feeling inspired. I'll definitely continue working with screen printing. The Procedure

Arrival on Friday from 3 pm. The event begins at 4 pm with a welcome coffee and an introduction to the topic. On Sunday, we will finish around 3:30 pm, with breaks only for good conversation and delicious food.
