In this workshop, we will explore a monoprinting technique that allows you to transfer your own drawings and paintings onto fresh clay. We will work with paper transfer and ceramic pigments.
Using coloured slips, porcelain and ceramic pigments, we will also create painterly backgrounds. By building up several layers, we will develop our own abstract compositions combining drawing, colour and surface.
Alongside planned compositions, experimentation plays an important role. Spontaneous and unexpected results can be embraced and incorporated into your own work.

The workshop will be taught in English.

About the artist
Kamila Dziedzic-Caputa has been developing her own monoprinting technique on clay for around 20 years. Through continuous experimentation, she has refined her process to transfer drawings and paintings onto ceramic surfaces with greater freedom and precision. More at: www.kamiladziedzic.com

Arrival on Friday from 3:00 pm

We will start at 4:00 pm and dive straight into the workshop until dinner at 7:00 pm. On Saturday, we will begin at 10:00 am after breakfast and continue working until around 3:00 pm on Sunday, with breaks for delicious food and good conversation.

The workshop will take place with a minimum of 5 participants. No previous experience is required. Pupils, trainees and students receive a 15% discount.
