We are looking for exciting > object and shadow < combinations in nature. We'll use the camera to capture these motifs in a similar way to quick sketches. Our eye and our view of things are crucial. The camera "only" serves as a drawing instrument, we don't need any expensive equipment, a simple digital camera or smartphone are sufficient. We will process our photo sketches directly on the smartphone / tablet or laptop and then define the cutouts. After printing, we will arrange the essence of the individual motifs, which have been worked out by sharpening contrasts and reducing them to black-and-white colors. Inspired by nature, intuitive and abstract works will be created in which nature draws silhouettes on paper similar to Asian ink painting and calligraphy.

Tanja Hellmuth's artistic work deals with working out the essence through reduction and abstraction. Photography - here the camera is used as an instrument for drawing - is currently one of her preferred creative media. Extreme in exposure, the game of Light & shadow lead to a silhouette-like visualization, the shadow becomes an element of abstraction par excellence. www.tanjahellmuth.com www.hellmuth-studios.com
