Every face is unique.

Capturing and sculpturally translating the characteristic features should be the focus of our collaborative work. The artistic portrait is never just a representation of the pure physiognomy of the subject; it reflects the search for the essence of the portrayed and, at the same time, can only be an individual interpretation by the artist.

We work on a reduced-scale portrait head in clay from a model, learning the craft basics in the process and having the opportunity to examine our personal perception of the face. On Monday, we create our own silicone mold, which can be used to make casts in various materials.

If interested, there is the possibility to have the results cast in a bronze foundry.

Arrival on 13th June from 5:00 PM.

We start on the first day with a communal dinner at 6:00 PM, followed by an introduction to the theme by the artist. On the second day, we begin after breakfast at 10:00 AM and will only be interrupted by good conversations and delicious meals until the afternoon of the third day.
