If you appreciate beautiful things made of paper and cardboard, if you want to learn how to handle paper and thread without getting tangled up, or if you want to expand your existing skills, then this workshop is just right for you. Over three days, we will embark on a journey of book art with the book artist Anne Deuter. Together, we will explore how paper is folded, how to bind a book that opens well, and how a relief works on a linen-bound book cover.
In addition, we will learn about the necessary tools and materials, their properties, and the correct processing techniques. Beyond these craft basics, the workshop will delve into artistic processes, spatial thinking, creative writing, design techniques, and the strengthening and discovery of one's own creativity.
We're not promising too much, as Anne Deuter studied painting/graphics with a focus on book art at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle and has been working as a book artist ever since.
